oh a new year..

I have had so much fun over this Christmas break. What made it so fun? Honestly just doing nothing..sounds lame I know.  We have gotten to just hang out and spend so much time together with nowhere to go, and nothing to do and it has been great. Although i feel like I need to go on a detox..haha Our eating habits over this break have not been great! But hey its OK! :)
 Anyway I feel so refreshed and I think it is important that we take the time to do nothing every once in awhile. Sometimes we need to shut the phones off or put them on silent, and sit and laugh together.  I can't wait until the day that we get to take a vacation together and see new things, and hopefully 2013 brings some new places and new things, but I also have so much fun enjoying each others company and reconnecting. I know what some of you are thinking "They haven't been married for even 2 years yet why do they need to reconnect"? Honestly It isn't that we have drifted apart or anything like that but life is busy and no we don't always get to just sit and hang out together.
 I feel like me personally have been refreshed but that our marriage has also been refreshed. So no I don't have a new years resolution but more of something I want to work on.  I want to work on relaxing and doing nothing together more often. Of course there are a few other things that I want to work on as well like being more disciplined in my walk with Christ, being healthy, and growing as a leader.
 As I have been thinking about 2012 today wow! what a great year, but 2013 will be great too! God has awesome plans in store for us in this next year (whatever they may be) I am excited! I am thankful for laughter, fun, frozen pizza, mt dew, family, friends and my awesome Jesus who has blessed me with a all of this. ( and yes even the money to buy frozen pizza and mt dew)

Snow day

Well I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas! :) Mine was quite wonderful! Got to spend a lot of time with family which is great, and spending lots of good time with my man:) This week has been refreshing, relaxing and fun.  Christmas morning I couldn't wait to get out of bed. I am not a morning person, but when it comes to Christmas I am too excited to sleep. I got up early and made breakfast, and after breakfast we prayed,laughed, and opened our gifts from each other. Then we spent the day at mom and dads house and got some good family time in.  We got to spend time with my favorite little boys ( Saijyn and Baikyr) My favorite gift was my new bible, but the best gift of all was Jesus and knowing that we are able to spend time with family and get and give only because of him. 
 Yesterday we got a ton of Snow which is what we would call a snow day. So we got out early to Walmart got some food and came home for day. Last night we went to our neighbors house ate tacos and played games. Good way to spend a day where your stuck on the house all day.

 Today we finally got the House looking Good. That means we did some much needed organizing, and we attempted to build a snowman.  That plan didn't work so we went sledding. I have to say it was pretty fun! It didn't treat my back well because I am feeling it now, but it was fun! :) I love being able to hang out with my sister, stay up late, sleep in, and spend lots and lots of time with my wonderful husband:)

burnt pancakes

Well this week has been quite unexpected..I have not been sick in 2 years and I got sick this week. I don't know how but it sure wasn't fun. I am finally feeling much better today still have a runny nose but trust me that is better than it was. 
 I hope everyone had a wonderful thanksgiving! I have a lot to blog about but have been so busy and haven't gotten around to it.  Last week was so much fun! Of course we had thanksgiving:)  We went out Thursday night to Walmart and got movies, towels, and an awesome pillow. Got to hang out with Magen alot.  Last Saturday me and her went out of town for the day and it was a blast and then I came home to Christmas music playing and the stockings up and the Christmas tree up. I was sooo happy!!! I decorated and we all goofed around and hung out.

 Monday Magen had to leave but we still had fun before she left for her road trip.  She came over and we made ornaments with Anden and Rhoen.  They didn't turn out real great but it was still fun:)
 Wednesday was when I started to get sick..BOO!!! It only got worse so Thursday no work and on the couch all day. Friday the same although I was feeling a little better but still didn't want to get the boys sick so I didn't babysit. That brings us to today..Like I Said I am feeling much.  Didn't sleep very good last night thought so I got up just in time to talk to Josh on his break and I was kinda crabby..I felt bad:( I then decided to make pancakes and I burnt them so the kitchen smells like burnt pancakes..ewww but they were still good.

 I am preparing for tomorrow morning soon because I didn't go into work.  I ordered an awesome Christmas DVD that we are using fro worship so listening to that sure brightens my mood. Hope you all are having fun preparing for Christmas, staying warm and healthy:) I will leave you with some pictures of a little bit of everyday:)

A long day in a good way

It is entirely to late for me to be awake..What time is it you say Oh 10:50.  When i was trying to type blogger I again typed blooger. I just got really grouchy because I couldn't find my usb stick.  We have two and we couldnt find either of them, and of course one was in the most obvious place ( the other still missing) Today has been a long day in a good way. ( Anden would say day and way Rhyme in a very excited voice) Thursday night early Friday morning I went to watch the new Twilight movie Breaking Dawn part 2.  I am not going to get into how I feel about those movies because I know people really do like them, but I honestly just think it is fun to go to midnight showings. Although this movie seriously had 10 previews before it started..not ok when it is 12:01 a.m,
 I got home at 3:15 got into our warm bed and fell asleep with my wonderful husband until 4:30 a.m. when he had to wake up for work. I was so not looking forward to my day because 4 hours of sleep and babysitting probably doesn't go so well. I had a great day! I didn't feel like i had a lack of sleep at all ( until I sat down of course) Had so much fun with the boys and had a relaxing night last night.
 Today I got to sleep in and a friend came over and I showed her how to crochet a scarf. Great fellowship time:) :) Me and Josh called tonight junk food night...Taco pizza( Yummy) Mt dew( fist one in a long time) and a movie. My kind of Saturday night relaxing.  Although after this i seriously need to lay down.  I like falling asleep downstairs while Josh plays his video games. Tonight's chosen one is Halo 4.  I usually open my book and read one page and then I'm out haha! I have been wanting to blog for so long and just haven't. Throughout the day I will say to myself "Can't wait to blog about this" but then I get home and don't.
 I have been crocheting alot of scarfs, and I am trying to do a variety of colors. I am selling them for $8.00 and all proceeds go to help the Orpahange be built in Nigeria. AHHH! Which reminds me my sister is coming home for break tomorrow. :)  yes this post was random but really just to remind myself of how thankful I am for fun nights, sleeping in, good friends, AWESOME husband, relaxing, taco pizza, a fun hobby, and my sister coming home for break. 
Well signing off of blooger for now :) p.s. There is a brown smelly banana on the table that I put in my purse this week and forgot it was there..need to try to avoid that in the future

Cold day Catch up

Well today was quite an unexpected day. Woke up to babysit and turned the heat up cuz it was seriously freezing. After being told schools were on a delay I took a peek outside and said Holy moly! :0 Schools ended up cancelling so I decided on this cold day to stay home and catch up on some much needed cleaning. Since I was actually up early I am about done cleaning, and then it will be time for some relaxation with hot food and a blanket ( or 2)

 Over the weekend we had the Family fest at church and we were all pretty nervous cuz it looked like it was going to be cold and rainy. God had our back! The youth had a photo booth which was a pretty big hit, and an awesome idea. i had another photo booth pic with the girls but it was not wanting to load.  Anyway Family fest 2012 was tons of fun although it took alot of work It was a blast! can't wait till next year! :)

Doing something I enjoy

Well I just realized that I still need to post some more pictures of our house, but I will get to that a little later.  I love crocheting and it is honestly something I never saw myself doing. When we first got married and Josh was on second shift I decided I needed a hobby of some sort, so I taught myself how to crochet (with the help of YouTube) I have been crocheting ever since, but I have a specialty..I Love to make big infinity scarfs.   The other day Josh asked if I was ever going to make anything besides a scarf and I said maybe but I love wearing them and making them.
 Today as I was working on a scarf while watching the Browns game It hit that hey I love doing this so much why don't I make them for other people and sell them. So I am going to give it a shot!  If you are interested in one you can just let me know and I would love to make one:) Now the money I make ( if I make any) I would use some of it to help out my sister who is going to Nigeria this Spring. She is going to work at an orphanage.

 So I would be doing something I love, making you something cute, and also helping my sister get to Nigeria.  This may not work out, but you never know until you try:) here are some pics of a couple that I have made and love:)    So like I said we will try this out let me know if you would like  one made for you. Still not sure on a price maybe 10 or 15..?

Christ in me

Well this morning I actually got up to do my devotion/quiet time with God. I am not a morning person and I have become extremely busy so I have been trying to manage my time. Most likely I will need to try and wake up earlier to get my quiet time in. There is something relaxing about the morning time. The sun is shining, the house is peaceful,drinking tea and got Shine FM on. Now I don't have children so my life shouldn't be so not relaxing, but what I mean by that is morning is completely before the day starts so there are no other thoughts in my head or nothing else to distract me. Even though it takes me a bit to wake up I enjoy trying to have my quiet time in the mornings simply because my mind is cleared so it is easier to think and be focused.
 This morning I read a short devotion called Open heart surgery, and it was simply how until God comes in and replaces our old heart with a heart of him we won't be able to live like a christian. I don't know if that makes any sense, but there are so many things in life that can get us being offended, snapping at our spouse, apathy and so many more but if we have Christ in us it is way easier to push through those things We can not live without his help, but we have to ask him to help us get through some of those things we struggle with. I am not perfect at all but God helps me to be a good wife, and to be a good children's minister.  I am not perfect in either of these things but I know that God is on my side and I can do what I am called to do and be the wife that I am suppose to be to my husband.
I thank God so very much for saving me and loving me and being a friend that I can count on. (From my class last night at church) He always listens and is a good friend and always wants to help us be a better person as long as we are willing.  I am not saying that I will be able to wake up and have a great quiet time every morning, but I will TRY my hardest and even if I don't i will meditate on what I have been reading while getting ready in a rush.
 I encourage all of you to find that time that works best for you to spend time with God. You may not even know how to have a quiet time,but ask God to help you and to give you direction. Have a wonderful day everyone! :)
